Mr Mpumelelo “Mpumie” Dyeshana

Mpumie holds a Bachelor of Technology in Human Resources Management (Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University), a postgraduate Performance Management Excellence certificate (Rhodes Investec Business School) and a Leadership Certificate (UCT Graduate School of Business).

His career started fifteen years ago in corporate companies such as WesBank Finance, Aberdare Power Cables and SAB Limited, where he honed his skills and competencies as a Strategic HR and Corporate Specialist. Whilst at Aberdare, in 1997 he was awarded an opportunity to travel overseas through the “VW International Development Programme” to be trained in HR Global Best Practice in companies such as Reychem (United Kingdom), Nokia Kabel (Holland) and ABB Cables (Sweden). In 2001 he joined Mercedes-Benz S.A as the Group Diversity and Inclusion Manager reporting to the HR Board Member. He then moved to head up the HRD Skills and Training Centre to assist the organisation in realising its Employment Equity and Skills Development strategy. He led the introduction and implementation of the Mechatronics & Autotronics Learnership at MBSA as a pilot project within the Automotive Industry.

His last assignment and function as Corporate Affairs and HR Communications Manager provided him with extensive networking opportunities at a senior political, social and business level.

He represented MBSA within the NBI/ECPG PPP service delivery project for 2007 and 2008 and was instrumental in the formulation of the Eastern Cape Provincial Government HR Back-office Model that currently seeks to improve recruitment processes and turnaround times. Mpumie still serves on the Working Committee of the NBI.

His undisputed understanding of community development, passion for Human Capital and the experience gained in his career has made him a well groomed and astute global business professional.
